Most people associate maturity as to how old the individual is, or how the person looks like, I mean physically. They think the older the person is, the more mature he/she becomes. Well, sounds logical for me — pretty much acceptable. That’s like using [if a=b, and b=c, therefore a=c] formula. It doesn’t take a math wiz to come up with such kind of conclusion. To translate it to "layman’s" term, [if age=experience, and experience=maturity, then age=maturity]. This mathematical concept may be reasonable, but it’s non sequitor when you’ll apply it to the second example.Non sequitor, yes. It does not always follow that way.

Ehem! Do I sound like some kind of nerd? Nope. Just because I cited in the first paragraph a seemingly "intelligent" idea doesn’t make me become one of them. By "them" I mean them. In fact, that’s the only algebraic expression I can recall. For sure, that’s not worth the 15 years I spent in school, including kindergarten. Hehe…I’m obviously trying to be funny, but I know… that’s too much corn [korni]!

Enough of the introduction, the only reason why I’m writing today is… GUYZ, it’s a holiday! Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year!!! Let’s end the year with a BANG! I hear this more often recently. <roll eyes> duh! whatever!

Nuevo Anyo! Speaking of which, it’ll be my birthday again. <bow, waive hands> Thank you. Thank you. Yep, New Year’s coming. I was thinking of actually writing my new year’s resolution. It’s somewhat foolish of me though to write down something that I know [at least probably know] will not happen. I sound like I’m Mrs. Grinch. It’s just me, becoming so lazy.

Oh! How about this?

My New Year’s Resolution
1. I will try my best to gain some pounds by eating "healthy" foods.
2. I will always take vitamins & drink milk.
3. I will go to church at least every Sunday.
4. I will not be late nor absent from work, unless under extreme cases (still needs to define this… hehehe)
5. I will start saving money (I should have done this a long time ago)
6. I will work hard to earn more & save more (is there an easy way to do this?)
7. I will have a successful lovelife (this one remains to be seen… hehehe…)
8. I will look for a more "fulfilling" job. (if money is fulfilling, it’ll really be hard for me to decide to quit working in a call center) hahay…
9. I will try to act as maturely as possible. I’m not getting any younger. Waaaaaaaa…
10. To become a better person. (ehem! sooooooooooo vague!)

Like last year, I’ll be spending my Xmas alone. I’ve got plans though. On the 25th, I’ve got work from 2am til 11am. Not too late to celebrate Xmas. May be I’ll check if Red Ribbon is open, and then I’ll have my lunch there. Soszzzyal… hehehe… If not, I guess the grocery store will be open so I’ll buy something to eat. Lucky Me Pancit Canton Chili Flavor & Tropicana. Or bread, butter and may be Pepsi w/ a Twist of Lemon. Hehehe… Hope they’re open, not so cruel to shut their door for lonely people like me. Huhuhuhuhuhu…

On my birthday, I hope I’ll be able to go home and spend some time with my family. My birthday is not really as special compared to HIS bday, but I know He’ll understand why I’m stuck here in Cebu. Consuelo de bobo, it’s gonna be a double pay if I work during holidays plus extra SIL slot.

I remember, last year I spent my birthday with Ate Joanna. It was only the two of us who were left in the apartment. We bought sparklers. We re-cooked the ham left in the fridge and she put some slices of queso de bola in our rice. I did not find eating rice with cheese attractive though. I thought it was weird. I did not like the taste.

I know my birthday is just an ordinary day, just like any other days of the year but may be I deserve at least one Xmas wish and one birthday wish, so that’s two all. Whatever they are, I’ll just keep them myself.

MAGIS!
